Love Me Tender --Elvis Week 8/16/07 - play WMV Originally titled "The Reno Brothers", the title of Elvis' first movie was changed to "Love Me Tender" to capitalize on the hit single. It's one of our most requested tunes. Hound Dog--Elvis Week 8/16/07 - play WMV The almost 50 year old knees don't move like they used to, but Carlos gives it the old college try in an homage to the classic Ed Sullivan Show appearance. What'd I Say?--Elvis Week 8/16/07 - play WMV Elvis performed this Ray Charles classic in "Viva Las Vegas". It's also one of our most fun songs to do live. Blue Suede Shoes--Elvis Week 8/16/07 - play WMV Carl Perkins wrote this rockabilly classic that Elvis covered in his first album. It also could be heard on the soundtrack for "G.I. Blues". It preceded a (what else?) Elvis fight scene. Oldies With The Roustabouts @ Heritage Point, Barnegat NJ, 8/24/07 - play WMV As if the "Hooray For Hollywood" costume party at Heritage Point was not exciting enough with characters from Grease, Star Wars, The Blues Brothers, Pirates of the Caribbean,I Love Lucy, The Great Gatsby, etc., things went to a whole other level when an under-the-weather Carlos invited The King himself to help him out with a song.
